Council for Community Development (CCD) was founded in the year 1999 by a group of committed development workers and experts belonging to various spheres of life such as health, environment, water& sanitation, education, law, engineering and women activism used to discuss the problems of the area and finally reached on a conclusion to establish an organization to solve these problems of the people voluntarily. Then, an organization CCD was formed, which is providing volunteer services to the masses without any social, linguistic, ethnic or religious discrimination and trying to put the masses at ease. The active volunteers of organization are enthusiastic to work for the betterment of masses in the province. CCD was registered with Director Social Welfare under Act 1961 in August 2002.
In 2003, at first time a project supported by UNICEF that aimed to aware communities about HIV/AIDS in District Kech (Turbat), Panjgur and Gwadar. The project remained functional for 3 months.
CCD has remained principally focused on health, education, environment, women and children’s rights from the beginning. The organization very soon became successful winning the credibility and the confidence of stakeholders was selected for several projects by Government of Baluchistan, National and International donor agencies including UNHCR, GIZ, World Bank, TVO, USAID, UNICE, UNDP, RAHA/RAA, PNAC, Interact worldwide, Action Aid and BEF Baluchistan.
